Black River Paddle Board Excursions

Lake Erie Paddler offers multiple stand up paddle board excursions on the Black River in Lorain County, Ohio.

The convenient location of our SUP Shop in Harborwalk on the Black River gives us unique access to deploy paddle board excursions that are exciting adventures that will enhance our SUP experience.

The primary navigable portion of the Black River starts in Elyria, Ohio at the Lorain County Metropark’s Bur Oak Reservation.  This paddle board, kayak, and canoe launch point is down river from downtown Elyria’s beautiful twin Cascade falls and empties 6+ miles at the mouth of the Black River at Lake Erie.  We can also exit from the Bur Oak launch point at the French Creek launch pad about 2 miles up river.

We run mini paddle board and paddle/bike excursions from Bur Oak Reservation to the French Creek Launch Pad taking advantage of the Steel Mill bike trail from French Creek back to Bur Oak.

We also run whitewater excursions from Bur Oak to French Creek Launch Pad in addition to a whitewater/flat water combo from Bur Oak to our SUP Shop in Harborwalk or all the way out to Lake Erie and to Lakeview Beach Park.

In addition, we run paddle board and paddle/bike excursions from the French Creek Launch Pad to the Lake Erie Paddler SUP Shop in Harborwalk and out to Lake Erie exiting at Lakeview Park Beach.
