Rocky River, Ohio is a nice lake front western suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.

Rocky River, Ohio is bordered to its’ west by the Rocky River which also creates a border with Lakewood, Ohio.

Bradstreet Landing and Rocky River Park are two nice locations for Paddle Boarding in Rock River.

Bradstreet Landing is a city managed park and fishing pier on Lake Erie.  You can launch your paddle board to the left or the east of the fishing pier.  It is a bit messy of a beach at times with lots of driftwood but there is plenty of parking and easy access to the beach so it serves as a convenient place to launch a paddle board onto Lake Erie for Rocky River and Lakewood residents.

Rocky River Park is a smaller lakeside park that is frequented by families.  The Parking lot at a higher elevation than the beach so it offer some nice vista points of Lake Erie.  Parking can be a challenge during the summer due to the popularity of the park and the small parking lot.

We like Paddle Boarding at Rocky River Park in the early spring or fall when the crowds thin out and parking is easily accessible.  A nice paddle is to launch from Rocky River park and paddle west towards Bradstreet Landing into the sunset and then return.

Rocky River is one of the first places we started paddle boarding on Lake Erie in 2010 as we explored the best places to paddle on Lake Erie before we settled on our home base in Lorain, Ohio.
