The Harborwalk is conveniently located near the mouth of the Black River as it empties into Lake Erie.

Harborwalk and Riverside Marina are located on the former site of American Ship Building company.  Some of the largest Great Lakes freighters were built and serviced at the Amship location.  This was an ideal location because of the deep,  wide river that the Black River is.

These attributes make the Harborwalk a perfect location for standup paddle boarding.  We can easily launch to paddle or do sup yoga in the harbor, paddle up river and explore the nature and wildlife along the Black River, or paddle down river to Lake Erie.
