Lakeview Park Beach
Lakeview Park Beach at 1800 West Erie Avenue in Lorain, Ohio is the premier SUP paddle board launch point on Lake Erie. The pristine, sandy beach managed by the Lorain County Metro Parks is and excellent location for paddle board classes and rentals. Lakeview Park Beach is located at 1800 West Erie Avenue in Lorain.
The beach is a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, or enjoying the sunsets on Lake Erie. Three breakwaters protect the one-third mile groomed sandy beach and lifeguards are on duty daily during the summer from 12PM to 6PM.
The historical bathhouse has been renovated to include eight family changing rooms (five with showers) and a concession stand. The Rose Café sits above the bathhouse and offers a full menu for lunch and dinner and is a destination for wedding celebrations, reunions, and parties.
The 42-acre Lakeview Park is located on U.S. Route 6 (West Erie Avenue) one mile west of the Black River and 1.5 miles from the Lake Erie Paddler SUP Shop.
The Historic Rose Garden, colored water foundation, playground equipment, picnic shelters, paved trails, two amphitheaters, and lawn bowling make Lakeview Beach Park the ideal spot on Lake Erie for a family to spend a day at the Beach.
